When you feed a child, you feed their dreams. Help them learn, grow and thrive.
From reading and playing to excelling in exams — nutrition fuels it all.
Expressions Inclusive school in collaboration with Akshaya Patra, serves wholesome mid-day meals under their “Nourish to Flourish” program to school children.
Mid-day meals do more than just fill empty stomachs—they fuel young minds and transform futures. A nutritious meal at school helps children concentrate, participate actively and perform better in class. It draws more children into classrooms improving both enrolment and attendance. These meals combat malnutrition, boost immunity, and support healthy growth, laying the foundation for a stronger future.
Childhood is said to be the best part of human life – an age where we are carefree, safe and happy. But a happy childhood is not the reality for many children, who are out-of-school. There are many reasons for children to drop out of school – from challenging socio-economic circumstances, to lack of awareness in communities where education is not seen as a priority.
Going to school not only ensures a dignified future and a happy present for children, but also gives them a safe space to express themselves, learn, share and grow. Children who drop out often have to work as child labour, are pushed into child marriages, or even become victims of child trafficking.
Our education centres are designed to enhance the holistic development of children, and provide them opportunities to grow up as not just educated, but, healthy, aware, well-rounded and responsible individuals. Besides the students, we also work with teachers, parents, caregivers and the whole community so that children have a supportive environment to thrive in.
Children who cannot walk, go to school, play with friends or lead an independent life because of their disability are one of the most marginalized and excluded groups in our society. Facing daily discrimination in the form of negative attitudes, lack of adequate policies and legislation, they are effectively barred from realising their rights to healthcare, education and even survival.
We, at Expressions inclusive school, help to provide medical care, recovery, mobility and education so that these children have the opportunity to defy social stigmas and lead a fulfilled life.
